چکیده
Many standard definitions of ‘argument’ that recognise an ambiguity between its active and objective senses seek to subsume these in various ways into a single, composite whole. This, it is argued, glosses over the distinction instead exploiting elucidatory potential. Whilst optimistic about prospects theory integration, paper recommends methodology differentiation as first necessary step towards any such goal. It starts by assuming refers —simultaneously independently— two different things, making space them for argument based on then externality relation them.

Concurrent Object - Oriented Programming in Act 1
To move forward to the next generation of artificial intelligence programs, new languages will have to be developed that meet the demanding requirements of these applications. Artificial intelligence software will require unprecedented flexibility, including the ability to support multiple representations of objects, and the ability to incrementally and transparently replace objects with new, u...

Two arguments with attempts to unify psychology are adumbrated in this commentary. First, the unification of psychology is largely a disciplinary maneuver and not primarily an epistemological act. Second, the discipline of psychology has been unified for some time around a series of methodological and functional categories that have served to support its institutional projects but hide metaphys...
متن کاملHybrid Caching for Scalable Object Systems Think Globally, Act Locally
Object-based client caching allows clients to keep more frequently accessed objects while discarding colder objects that reside on the same page. However, when these objects are modi ed and sent to the server, it may need to read the corresponding page from disk to install the update. These installation reads are not required with a page-based cache because whole pages are sent to the server. W...

The overall aim of this paper is to stabilize and strengthen the algebraic speci-cation method to software engineering and development. We do not introduce new theoretical results, but deene a conceptual model, i.e., an information system schema, for the well-established algebraic speciication language ACT ONE and its accompanying speciication environment. This paper gives a formal description ...
